Rusty Campbell

Owner

All in a day’s work: After working at Rick’s Paint & Body for a number of years, Rusty then purchased the business from Rick Huff in September 1990 when Rick retired. Rusty knows that it takes a sense of urgency in order to remain competitive and keep loyal customers happy; a twelve-hour workday with no lunch break is not uncommon for him. Customers want their vehicles repaired to the highest standards, to receive the best service, and to get their vehicle back as quickly as possible – and with Rusty at the helm, that’s the experience each and every customer has.

Do what you love: “You don’t mind working for a goal if you’re getting a positive result. We’ve been blessed with a very positive result.”

When there’s spare time: Rusty enjoys playing golf, saltwater fishing, and spending time with family: wife Patricia, his children Meredith, Katie, and Jason, and his five grandkids.

Jason Campbell

Estimator & Service Advisor

All in a day’s work: Jason has been part of the Rick’s Paint & Body team since 1995. With over 16 years of experience in the auto body repair industry, Jason has the experience and know-how to get the job done right, on-time, every time.

Do what you love: There’s never a dull moment at Rick’s. “It’s a different challenge everyday,” explains Jason. “No two wrecks are the same.”

When there’s spare time: With three kids playing select soccer, and one child involved in the U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP), Jason and his family stay busy with soccer practice, games, and tournaments. Although he rarely has time for it these days, Jason is an avid hunter.

Chuck McCombs

Estimator & Service Advisor

All in a day’s work: Chuck McCombs is no stranger to hard work: he got first job while in high school, pumping gas at Rayco gas station – and earned his own money to buy his first car for $100. He’s been interested in cars for as long as he can remember, so it’s no surprise that he has over twenty-five years of experience as an estimator – and that many of his loyal customers ask for him by name.

Do what you love: Although he’s relatively new to Rick’s Paint and Body, Chuck is already part of the family. And it’s that very “family atmosphere” that makes Chuck love being a part of the clan. “Everyone pitches in to help one another,” says Chuck of the team spirit at Rick’s Paint & Body. “Rusty doesn’t ask anyone to do anything that he wouldn’t do himself. When you have a boss who works just as hard as you do…it doesn’t get much better than that.”

When there’s spare time: When not working hard at Rick’s Paint & Body, Chuck stays busy with his two youngest children who play soccer.

Stacey England

Estimator, Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, handles Glass Department

All in a day’s work: Having joined Rick’s in March of 2010, Stacey’s 11 years of experience in the industry serve her – and the customers – well. Stacey wears many hats at Rick’s Paint & Body, including heading up the Auto Glass Department. She also is involved in the local I-CAR  – a program that sets the standard for collision repair training – and coordinates the schedule.

Do what you love: Stacey’s favorite part of the job? You! “People fascinate me,” she says. “There’s never a dull moment in this business; I love it!”

When there’s spare time: Stacey is mom to Tyler, 16, and Andi, age 12. Her children’s many activities including band and twirling keep her busy. Stacey also enjoys traveling, photography, Football Friday Night, and camping at Edisto beach.

Murphy Menger

Manager

All in a day’s work: When Murphy first worked at his Uncle Rusty’s shop for a brief stint while in high school, he had no idea that it would one day become his career path. He began by doing shop clean-up, then service, and eventually worked his way up to manager.

Do what you love: The best part of the job? Getting to meet new people everyday. Oh, and also “being the boss!”

When there’s spare time: Managing the Mike Padgett/Highway 56 shop full-time keeps Murphy busy, but after hours you can find him hanging out with friends, hunting, fishing, going to the movies, and rooting on his favorite college team, the Georgia Bulldogs.

Randy Gay

Estimator/Service Advisor

All in a day’s work: Randy’s experience in this fast-paced industry begin in 1999, when he drove the Rick’s Paint & Body wrecker while in college. Years later, his job at Rick’s involves heading up the new Evans location, which performs car detailing, minor repairs, and estimates.

Do what you love: Cars have fascinated Randy from a young age, so he feels right at home as part of the Rick’s Paint & Body team. He got his first car at age 12, a VW dune buggy with a manual transmission, to use on his family’s farm. Fortunately, Randy got the hang of that stick-shift by the time he began driving on the public highways!

When there’s spare time: Randy loves to road-race old Nascar cars in his free time (check out v8stockcar.com). He also enjoys spending time with his family: his wife Amy, and 2-year-old son, Lux.
