Last winter, AAA projected nearly 100 million would travel 50+ miles to get to their holiday destination. Over 90 percent do so by car.
That’s a lot of traffic, and plenty of risk as roads become more clogged with people trying to hurry to their long-distance destination. Many people are driving for hours on end, which increases the chances of someone failing to pay full attention while on the road.
We at Rick’s Paint and Body want you to be safe while traveling. We already wrote about safe travel tips in our previous blog – which do apply to all forms of travel, year-round.
We see many cars and trucks in our shop from the holiday rush, because of the sheer number of risks that occur out on the congested roads.
As you and your loved ones head out this holiday season, we wish you all safe travels. But if something should happen, don’t hesitate to give us a call once everyone is safe.
In the holiday spirit, here’s a bit of good news: There are 41 states where, in November, you could find a gas station selling gas for less than $2 a gallon, according to the U.S. Travel Association. Every dollar counts, after all!
